Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated:

ProxyGlance is free to read. We pay for the site, and for the products we test, through affiliate commissions. This page explains what that means and how we keep it separate from our reviews.

Some links on ProxyGlance are affiliate links. When you click one and then buy a product, the vendor may pay us a commission. You don't pay anything extra — the price is the same as going to the vendor directly, and sometimes lower when we list a discount code.

Affiliate links on ProxyGlance:

  • Usually appear as "Visit" or "Get deal" buttons on directory pages, reviews and rankings.
  • Pass through a ProxyGlance address that starts with /go/ before sending you to the vendor's website. This lets us keep vendor links up to date in one place.
  • Are marked as sponsored links for search engines.

Every page with affiliate links shows a short disclosure notice near the top.

What commissions don't affect

  • Scores. Every product is scored with the same criteria and weights, set out in our review process.
  • Rankings. Rankings follow our test results and use-case fit, not commission rates. Products that don't have an affiliate programme are included and ranked on the same basis.
  • Coverage. We review products whether or not they have an affiliate programme.
  • Editorial control. Vendors cannot pay for a review, a score or a ranking position, and they never see a review before it is published. They can report factual errors, which we verify independently before making changes.

Discount codes

Where we list a coupon or discount code, it is either public or was provided by the vendor for our readers. Discounts can change or expire without notice; the vendor's checkout shows the final price.

Regulatory compliance

This disclosure is made in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements and testimonials and similar rules in other countries, which require publishers to disclose material connections with the companies they write about.
